Our re-design of the Wallace Collection shop - originally split into a small shop and cloakroom with a large bookshop next door - combined the two to give a sense of synergy to their retail operations.

We created trompe-l’œil effect fabric furniture covers, made postcard racks from old frames in their archive, created a wallpaper from Sevres vases and designed the centre piece - a large ‘W’ made from two upside down ladders, which form shelves. These are a nod to the fact that these rooms used to be the janitors quarters.
